Publishing Partners

Since the beginning of Emergent Village, ideas have been the fertile soil out of which has grown new forms of the Christian life. In order to foster the development of new ideas and new praxis, Emergent Village has entered into partnerships with three established and reputable publishing houses. With Baker Books we publish books for church leadership and development, with Abingdon Press we’ve developed a series of books on theology for the emerging church, and with Jossey-Bass, we publish books on spirituality and the Christian life.

Baker Books

The ēmersion books are focused on the future of the church and its leadership. The first book, An Emergent Manifesto of Hope will be released in 2007. You can download a free preview here .

Abingdon Press

The “Living Theology Series” is a collection of readable books by leading theologians and scholars who are speaking into the emerging church movement. The first two titles will be published in 2007.

Jossey-Bass

Emergent Village and Jossey-Bass are teaming up to produce books that deal with general spirituality and a life that seeks after God. The first book, by Mark Scandrette, will release in 2007.
